THE COMMISSION on Higher Education created an expert group to draft a second set of guidelines for limited face-to-face classes.

CHED said that the guidelines will allow higher education institutions to open limited in-person classes for all degree programs.

CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera III explained that the guidelines will be enforced in areas with low Covid19 risk.

“We have created an experts group to draft the guidelines for this second option. So iyong second option na iyan, kung maganda ‘yung trend ng vaccination, baka puwede na nating ilabas iyan by January,” he said.

He described the months of October and November as “crucial” since the commission will be closely monitoring vaccines in colleges and universities.

“We require them to do an inventory of their students, faculty and employees who are vaccinated; they report regularly to our regional office. And then we target those that have low vaccination rates to determine if it is an issue of supply,” De Vera said.
