THE COMMISSION on Higher Education called for a speedy rollout of vaccines so that students who will be attending limited face-to-face classes can also be inoculated against Covid19.

CHED Chairman Prospero ‘Popoy’ De Vera said that the vaccine will be an “additional level of safety” for these students.

“So in this next batch, we are hoping that the vaccination rollout will be faster so we will add another level of safety at the school level,” he said.

De Vera said that teachers and students also need jabs because they are considered frontliners.

As of June 21, the commission has approved the conduct of limited face-to-face classes for medicine and allied courses in 93 HEIs nationwide.
