48 FILIPINO STUDENTS GET SCHOLARSHIPS FROM TAIWAN
FORTY-EIGHT Filipino students secured scholarships from Taiwan, allowing them to pursue various studies including master’s or doctoral degrees.
The slots awarded were from the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship, Taiwan International Higher Education Scholarship and bilateral government benefit and special policy programs.
The beneficiaries include degree-seeking students and students awarded scholarships by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education.
The Central Epidemic Command Center earlier approved three categories of international students to study in Taiwan, allowing 13,000 people to enter.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines said that the Filipino recipients of Taiwanese scholarships were excited to start their programs.
Students are set to arrive in Taiwan this September for their master’s or doctoral degrees.
