3K MORE STUDENTS RECEIVE ISIP ASSISTANCE
ANOTHER batch of 3,000 students from Lipa City, Batangas have benefited from the Integrated Scholarship and Incentives Program (ISIP) for the Youth.
The program targets tertiary and vocational students facing financial difficulties, providing them with cash assistance every six months to help cover tuition and other expenses.
The beneficiaries each received P5,000 under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) AKAP program, along with 5 kilograms of rice.
These student-beneficiaries will also be enrolled in the Commission on Higher Education’s Tulong Dunong Program, where they can receive a total of P15,000 in scholarship assistance annually.
Additionally, they will be given priority slots in the Government Internship Program after graduation, while their unemployed parents or guardians may be enrolled in the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.
“All of this fulfills President Marcos’s desire to help those in need. The positive results of these efforts are evident, as our fellow citizens who recover will contribute to the growth of our economy,” said House Speaker Martin Romualdez, who led the distribution alongside Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. and other officials.
