AT LEAST 28 public schools in the National Capital Region were included in the expansion phase of limited face-to-face classes, the Department of Education said on Thursday.
Public Affairs Services Director June Arvin Gudoy said these schools will conduct onsite learning beginning December 6, 2021.
There will be two schools each from the cities of Manila, Quezon, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Marikina, Caloocan, Navotas, Las Pinas, Taguig, Paranaque, Valenzuela, and Muntinlupa.
On the other hand, Makati, Malabon, Pasay and San Juan will each have one participating school.
Gudoy noted that an additional 177 public schools nationwide will join the pilot implementation.
“Marami na nag-umpisa this week as long as they are given clearance to proceed and safety assessment is done,” the DepEd official said.
Around 100 public schools in Covid19 low-risk areas joined the pilot implementation on November 15. A week later, 18 private schools also resumed in-person classes.
