THE COMMISSION on Elections on Wednesday said that voters can register from October 11 to 30.

The deadline earlier imposed by the poll body was September 30.

Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez said that registration will be from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Registration will end on October 30.

There will be a lull in the list up of voters to allow the commission to attend to the filing of certificates of candidacy that starts on October 1.

The Comelec had resisted calls to give voters more time to register but it caved in when Congress approved a measure mandating an extension of voter registration.
