VICE President Leni Robredo is the top ad spender among all candidates, a report from the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism showed.

PCIJ said that Robredo spent P14.1 million on Facebook ads from August 4 to December 31, 2022.

The amount is only 12 percent of her total ad spending as she also spent P120 million for ads on traditional media.

Atty. Barry Gutierrez, Robredo’s spokesman, said that the money for the advertisements came from the coordinated efforts of Robredo’s supporters.

Bulk of the ads also went live after Robredo filed her certificate of candidacy on October 2021.

Other pages like Team Leni Robredo and Dapat si Leni Facebook pages were also taken into account.

Robredo was followed by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian at P8.59 million and Sen. Ping Lacson at P5.36 million.
