FORMER Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. urged Congress to invest in the youth and restore the budget cuts in the education sector.

The Department of Budget and Management recommended that the P62.3 billion budget sought by the Commission on Higher Education be reduced to P52.6 billion.

“Without sufficient budget, how can the learning institutions like universities and colleges provide a good education?” he said.

“How can CHED, the very agency that administers and regulates them, carry out its mandate properly?

Marcos said that the country needs experts to be globally competitive.

At magiging dalubhasa ang mga mamamayan by getting a college degree,” he said
