OVER 10,000 students and alumni of De La Salle University endorsed the candidacies of Vice President Leni Robredo and running mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

In a statement, the La Sallian community expressed its support to Robredo and Pangilinan, who are running for president and vice president, respectively.

“We believe that Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan have passed the test of the kind of leadership our country needs especially at this time,” it said.

“They have proven themselves to be committed public servants who have worked communities, and thus understand the roots of our societal problems.”

It believed Leni and Kiko have clear and realistic platforms.

The group also pointed out the tandem are in the best position to offer real solutions to critical issues including education, unemployment , human rights, drug war, among others.

“(Leni and Kiko) have regained hope in many of us that we can have a government that follows the spirit and letter of the Philippine Constitution and our laws,” the community said.

“Team Leni-Kiko has generated a courageous army of organic volunteers giving rise to an authentic people’s campaign and local people’s council.”

Earlier, educators from 16 La Sallian schools said they chose to support the tandem after a careful discernment of Robredo and Pangilinan’s backgrounds.
