ACTOR Arjo Atayde filed his certificate of candidacy for congressman of Quezon City’s first district on Friday.

He was accompanied by his mother, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez.

The award-winning actor will be running under the party of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.

He will be challenging reelectionist congressman Onyx Crisologo.

This is Atayde’s first venture in politics.
