THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines signed a partnership agreement with Greenergy Development Corporation and the Philippine Iron Construction and Marine Works on the conduct of research and immersion programs.

Representatives from USTP, Greenenergy Solar and PICMW signed a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize the pact.

The partnerships is funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development under its Expert Intervention for Scientific Engagement Program.

Greenenergy will allow Electrical Engineering faculty to conduct research and development projects.

These include national projects for high impact and innovative ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions like carbon dioxide.

PICMW, on the other hand, will allow the university to conduct industry immersion to help in the advancement of research and development.

The sharing of information, knowledge and technology will be implemented to help the community.
