UST PROFS NAMED OFFICIALS IN IABC APAC AND PAASCU-CEA
AN INSTRUCTOR of the University of Santo Tomas was named as the new chief of the International Association of Business Communicators Asia Pacific Region.
Kane Errol Choa of the Department of Communication and Media Studies assumed office on July 1, 2023.
Prior to his appointment, Choa served as the institution’s vice chairman and awards director.
He is also the vice president of ABS-CBN’s Corporate Communications.
Composed of 11 chapters in 8 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, IABC APAC organizes the Fusion regional conference, the Silver Quill Awards, and the Communicator of the Year Awards.
It links communicators belonging to diverse industries and disciplines, aiming to seek and deliver the world’s best communication practices.
Meanwhile, UST Department of Electrical Engineering chairman Carlito Gutierrez was elected as the head of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities Commission on Engineering and Architecture.
Gutierrez will hold the position until 2024.
