THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines has opened the application of freshmen for Academic Year 2022-2023.

However, the university has yet to decide if it will administer an admission test because of the Covid19 pandemic.

Without an admission exam, students are assessed based on their high school performance.

“In the absence of a college admission test, a composite of the final grades in Grades 8, 9, 10 and 11 shall be the basis to determine the UPG,” the school said.

Meanwhile, specific degree programs may request for additional requirements to qualify for admission if deemed necessary.

To implement the policy of democratic access, the university will also consider socioeconomic and geographic factors in its admission process.

Applicants were advised to visit https://upcollegeadmissions.up.edu.ph to access the application portal.

The deadline for submission of all application documents is on November 30, 2021.
