THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Alumni Association-Iloilo Chapter’s UP Fight Team and iAmUPHi’s turned over three desktops and a computer printer to the West Visayas State University Medical Center on November 7, 2020.

The gadgets came from UP High School-Iloilo alumni and donations through the imUPHi “Fight for Frontliners” fundraising campaign.

The fundraising campaign started in March 2020.

iAmUPHi batch representatives Marge Tamayo of UPHSI Batch 2004 and Dr. Aretha Gacutan of UPHSI Batch 1984 received the donations, which were then handed to WVSU Medical Center Chief of Hospital Dr. Dave Gelito.

The equipment will be used by the Covid19 Testing Laboratory of the WVSU-MC headed by Dr. Anna Sombong.

Dr. Joselito Villaruz, a UPV alumnus and president of WVSU, thanked the UP Fight Team for the donation.
