THE COMMISSION on Higher Education IX allowed Unibersidad de Zamboanga to conduct limited face-to-face classes for School of Allied Medicine.

CHED IX OIC-Regional Director Rody Garcia officially awarded UZ the Certificate of Authority to reopen campus for the in-person classes.

The certificate indicated the university complied with the guidelines and health protocols to resume physical classes.

The approved programs are delimited to specialized laboratory courses or hospital-based internship or clerkship.

Garcia said UZ made sure it is serious about the preparation of classes both online and face-to-face.

“UZ already showed it has the resiliency by the preparation they did in relation for the safety of the students,” it said in a statement.
