UE CANCELS FACE-TO-FACE GRADUATION IN MARCH
TO ENSURE the safety of its community, the University of the East has ruled out traditional face-to-face graduation next year.
A report by the school’s publication The Dawn said UE President Ester Garcia confirmed that only virtual rites will be allowed in March 2022.
“The next graduation ceremonies in March will be virtual. We have not discussed face-to-face graduation,” she said.
Under Alert Level 2, venues for social gatherings like weddings, parties and debuts are allowed to operate.
However, Garcia noted that the conduct of in-person graduation ceremony will only be possible “upon approval of the government.”
Most schools in the country held virtual graduation rites since the pandemic started.
