THE TECHNOLOGICAL University of the Philippines said that it will provide internet subscription to its indigent students.

The TUP – University Student Government Manila on Saturday said that P400,000 was pledged by the administration for the project.

Dubbed as “MAg-aaral na LAging SAma-sama at Kaakibat and Isa’T-isa” or MALASAKIT, the project gained the approval of the university on Friday.

USG President Emmanuel Kenneth R. Bernas met with TUP President Jesus Rodrigo Torres and other officials for the signing of a memorandum of agreement.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude towards the support that the student body and administration are giving to make Project MALASAKIT happens,” TUP USG said on Facebook.

“The requirements and selection process of the recipients are still to be announce,” it added.
