A FEMALE student tragically died after falling from a building at the university she was attending in Ermita, Manila.

According to CCTV footage, the 23-year-old victim from Quezon City was seen falling from the fourth floor of the CIE Building at the Technological University of the Philippines.

Based on the report from the Manila Police District, a university security guard said she heard a loud thud coming from above at around 9:23 a.m. on Friday.

Alarmed by the noise, she went to investigate and discovered the student lying motionless on the ground.

She immediately reported the incident to her colleagues and the police. The student was rushed to Manila Doctors Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities are continuing a thorough investigation into the incident.
