SOUTHERN LUZON STATE U ALLOTS P96-M FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MEDICINE BUILDING
THE SOUTHERN Luzon State University in Quezon province allotted P96.2 million for the construction of its College of Medicine building.
The money came from the P111 million budget for the building under the General Appropriations Act of 2023.
The remaining P14.9 million will be used for the maintenance and operating expenses of the college.
The construction of the college aims to address the shortage of medical professionals and strengthen the healthcare system in the province.
Phase 1 of the construction was funded through the initiative of Quezon Gov. Angelina Tan.
The building will house around 10,000 students from different municipalities in Quezon and nearby towns.
