SILLIMAN U ALUMNUS SHOWCASES DESIGNS IN HOLLYWOOD PRESTIGE FASHION WEEK
AN alumnus of the Silliman University showcased his latest creations at the Hollywood Prestige Fashion Week 2024.
Ritchie Teves marked a significant milestone in his career in the fashion industry by connecting with audiences through his designs.
Teves’ designs were modeled by everyday working women, including Dr. Elizabeth Susan Vista-Suarez, dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts at Silliman University.
“His journey began during the pandemic in 2020, and his hard work has already paid off; he won the ‘Best in Gown Award’ at Miss Woman USA and the ‘Best Designer Award’ at Mutya ng Pilipinas for his debut evening gown,” the school said.
“A 1998 graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Teves also excelled in the arts during his college years, winning various painting competitions and receiving the University Talent Award for Excellence in Visual Arts. His passion for fashion was ignited after winning an online illustration competition,” it added.
The event took place last October 27, 2024, at The Valley Auditorium in North Hollywood, California.
