A PROFESSOR of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines placed third in  the Singapore National Cooperative Federation Co-op Hot Shots Competition.

Jophel Botero Ybiosa is a part-time professor of PUP’s Department of Journalism. He teaches Digital Imaging and Photojournalism.

“3rd Place Winner in International Category! Big thanks to Co-op Hot Shots Competition jury and Singapore National Co-operative Federation! To God be the glory!” Ybiosa posted on Facebook.

On April 15 this year, Ybiosa was named one of the Top 10 International Photographers of the Professional Photographers Asia Community.

“He entered the online competition and placed first in the People and Culture category in the first half, and second in the Smartphone Landscape category in the second half,” PUP said.

“Ybiosa has also been named one of Aspire Magazine Philippines’ Top 100 Photographers in the country,” it added.
