PLM STUDENT WINS GRAND PRIZE IN WORLD YOUTH MEETING

A STUDENT from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences of the Pamantasan Lungsod ng Maynila emerged victorious in the 25th World Youth Meeting in Japan recently.

A STUDENT from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences of the Pamantasan Lungsod ng Maynila emerged victorious in the 25th World Youth Meeting in Japan recently.

Czyrenne Malonzo, along with two Japanese students, secured The Grand Prize-Japan’s Ministry of Education Award held last year at Nihon Fukushi University in Nagoya, Japan.

Malonzo’s team bested 55 international schools to clinch the title.

Universities and schools from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, India, and China participated in the pitching contest.

The theme of the competition was “Conflict Resolution referring to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).”

Moreover, PLM received a Certificate Award from the Japanese Minister of Education Keiko Nagaoka for the outstanding presentation of Malonzo.

She is a fourth-year major of BA in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations

“PLM Board of Regents Chairman Atty. Edward S. Serapio, University President Atty. Domingo Y. Reyes, Jr. together with the entire Board recognized this valuable achievement and honor of Ms. Malonzo for the Pamantasang Mahal,” the university said in a statement over the weekend.
