PLM ANNOUNCES HOLDING OF TWO-DAY ACADEMIC BREAK AFTER MAY 9 POLLS

THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila will be holding a two-day academic break after the May 9 national elections.

The break will be from May 10-11.

All synchronous and asynchronous classes in the undergraduate programs are suspended.

Submissions of academic requirements and examinations shall be rescheduled, according to the school.

“Following the non-working holiday on May 9, PLM will observe an academic break from May 10-11, 2022 to afford students a respite from their academic tasks and to give time for those who are returning from their provinces where they cast their votes to come back to Metro Manila,” PLM said.

However, classes in the graduate, post-graduate, and professional schools will proceed as scheduled subject to other alternative arrangements as may be agreed by the students and faculty, and approved by the respective College Deans.

Further, work are similarly suspended on May 10.

PLM, however, said workers are enjoined to make themselves available online and if necessary, to report physically as may be required by their respective offices.

“May everyone have a restful weekend ahead. On May 9, let us cast our votes for the candidate that we think can best lead us out of the pandemic and full economic recovery and better health,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
