AN ALUMNUS of the Pangasinan State University made it to the list of distinguished engineers by the Philippine Technological Council during the 2021 ASEAN Engineering Register Conferment.

“Engr. Manny Boy N. Cabalse was among the selected Filipinos to be named as ‘ASEAN Engineer’ after a thorough assessment of academic credentials and professional experience supporting the training/workshop held by PTC,” PSU said.

Cabalse passed the licensure exam in 2014. In the same year, he was certified as a Registered Grade A Electrical Engineer in Qatar.

He was also recognized by the Philippine Regulatory Commission as a Professional Electrical Engineer in 2020.

To be an ASEAN Engineer is a distinct privilege for Filipino engineers.

They will have to join the ASEAN Engineers Working group in “collecting, tabulating and disseminating information on the education systems, engineering curriculum, recognition of degrees and qualifications, accreditation of qualifications and requirements for achieving professional engineer status of each ASEAN Institutions.”

Established in 1979, PTC promotes internationally comparable engineering education and professional engineering practices among its members.
