NUEVA VIZCAYA STATE U PROJECTS RECEIVE FUNDING FROM DA

/ 3 October 2021

TWO community projects of the Nueva Vizcaya State University were given funding by the Department of Agriculture.

Each project received a grant of P5 million.

The projects aim to boost the availability of quality swine stock and establish a viable production of free range chicken in Nueva Vizcaya.

“The projects are expected to contribute to food security and supply amidst crisis, provide livelihood and additional income to farmers, and provide protein source to farmer households and areas affected with the African Swine Fever,” NVSU said on Facebook.

“Specifically, the Swine Multiplier Project will increase the availability and accessibility of quality breeding stocks for sustainable swine production in Nueva Vizcaya while the Free-Range Project will develop a viable enterprise using free-range chicken production technology,” it added.

The projects are set to be implemented from September 2021 to August 2023.
