NU STUDENTS APPEAL FOR TRANSPARENCY
THE STUDENT Government of the National University called on university officials to release a detailed and comprehensive statement explaining why students are being charged for using school facilities amid the distance learning set-up.
The student body said that excess fees were reflected in their certificate of registration for the first and second term.
“We think that it is fundamental that we practice and show transparency to one of the university’s stakeholders, the student body, and owe them a clarification for the charges indicated on the said certificate of registration,” NUSG said.
The group appealed for transparency as it noted that most learners are facing financial problems because of the pandemic.
“We have faith that we are considered and valued by the latter since we are all for the ‘Education that works’, a motto that seems to work, especially when the students seek accountability and transparency,” NUSG said.
The POST reached out to the NU administration but received no response.
