NU-LAGUNA, ECCP COLLABORATE TO FIGHT AGAINST EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

/ 25 June 2024

THE NATIONAL University in Laguna and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines have collaborated to fight against the effects of climate change and have launched a program to support the country’s goal of achieving net zero by 2030.

With this partnership, students will be engaged in various activities and educational programs that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.

NU AB Communication Arts student Charles Adrian de Jesus believes that they can be the voice to educate people regarding the effects of climate change.

“I believe that as communication students, we can further expand knowledge through our voices. We can influence and educate people using various forms of communication, such as social media. By making simple posts and sharing educational content on social media, we can help others learn,” De Jesus said.

He then expressed his gratitude for learning new ideas and the importance of being environment-friendly even in small ways.

Meanwhile, ECCP campaign manager Dawn Marie Cabigon emphasized that it is important to collaborate with academic institutions to address climate change.
