A SCHOOL-WIDE lockdown has been imposed at the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology from May 7 to 16.
The order was contained in a memorandum made by Chancellor Sukarno Tanggol amid the alarming spike of Covid19 cases in the city and the rising incidences of granular lockdown on campus buildings and offices.
Sukarno said a campus-wide disinfection is scheduled to be undertaken for the protection of all constituents.
He also urged all employees to strictly observe health and safety protocols.
The city’s Emergency Operations Center-Health Cluster of the Local Inter Agency Task Force recorded nine new infections as of Friday, bringing the total active cases to 121, 75 of whom were confined in isolation facilities and 46 admitted in hospitals.
The city recorded 1,666 cases, 1,452 recoveries, and 93 deaths.
