MANILA SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL TO GET NEW BUILDING
THE CITY government of Manila on Monday held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 10-storey building for the Manila Science High School in Taft Avenue.
Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso said the city allotted P1.3 billion for the project.
“We are going to resolve, two years from now, the perennial problem in our public education system in terms of space, not only in Manila but also in the entire country,” Domagoso said.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang ating pag-angat ng antas ng edukasyon dito sa Lungsod ng Maynila. We will continue to invest for the future of our children to have a better upscale public school building,” he added.
The construction of the new building is in line with the local government’s plan to modernize the public education sector.
Last week, the city government also broke ground for the establishment of the Rosauro Almario Elementary School in Tondo.
