KALINGA STATE UNIVERSITY GETS ISO CERTIFICATION
THE KALINGA State University was awarded an ISO certification on October 20 by the Socotec Certification International, an international management systems assessment that awards certification to organizations worldwide.
“After a rigid scrutiny and arduous process of evaluation by the SOCOTEC Certification International, the Kalinga State University was awarded the university-wide ISO 9001:2015 Certification,” KSU said on Facebook.
“KSU underwent ISO 9001 QMS Certification in order to strengthen the confidence of its clients in the services it offers, prevent risks from occurring and to become more productive. It is also included among the physical targets under Support to Operations (STO) to be complied by the university in order to qualify in the grant of Performance-Based Bonus (PBB),” it added.
The university said that the assessment process on July 23 to 24, led by its Quality Assurance Office, resulted in four positive observations, 14 opportunities for improvement, and two minor non-conformities which was addressed later in the process.
Dr. Eduardo Bagtang, KSU president, said the certification is a testament to the school’s continuous commitment to its Quality Management system.
The certification is valid until September 10, 2023, KSU said.
