ISCOF TO GET FUNDING FOR HRM FACILITIES UPGRADE

THE IlOILO State College of Fisheries – Barotac Nuevo Campus will be given P15 million by the Commission on Higher Education to upgrade its College Hotel which will be used as training facility for Hospitality Restaurant Management students.

ISCOF said that the money will be used to modernize the training facility.

It added that the school will acquire laboratory amenities, facilites, and equipment for College of Hospitality Management students to help enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The project also aims to produce research geared towards revenue generation in line with the regional Development Plan of Region 6 on Tourism and Poerty Alleviation.

“By having this state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, the CHM can realize these thrusts as the laboratory can be utilized for research, training, revenue generation for the college, and curriculum and instruction, which will allow learners to interact directly with the information by getting a first-hand learning experience and performing laboratory assignments,” ,” ISCOF said on its website.

“This will also assist teachers in delivering instructions effectively and competitively,” it added.
