ISABELA STATE U PARTNERS WITH SAP FOR CANNED GOODS PRODUCTION

/ 12 August 2021

THE ISABELA State University partnered with the Sagittarian Agricultural Philippines, Inc. to produce canned goods to boost the food processing in the province.

ISU on Tuesday said that its Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubation Project will help the corporation in developing its canned chicken products.

The company said it needs to innovate and capture a bigger market that’s why it tapped ISU through the Provincial Science and Technology Center – Isabela.

“The canned products will be sold as ready-to-eat products and designed to be responsive to the present needs of the consumers,” ISU said on its website.

“The company will utilize its own locally produced meat, hence [the] cost of production will be lower as compared to other food processors. Aside from developing canned products, ISU-ATBI will also provide services in brand marketing, e-commerce, and financial management,” it added.

ISU said that the partnership also aims to boost the food processing industry in the province.
