FDA GRANTS ISABELA STATE U LICENSE TO OPERATE

/ 9 July 2021

THE FOOD and Drug Administration has given the Isabela State Univerity’s Cagayan Valley Cacao Development Center a license to operate.

ISU said the license will allow the center to market and sell its products.

The university also secured the intellectual property rights for the process of producing cacao pod husk powder.

ISU shared that the center’s innovations with cacao caught the attention of the global market as it has secured deals of exporting 10 tons of cacao to Belgium and Japan.

The center will go with the trade name of “Sikulati,” and is now called the “new pride of Cagayan Valley.”

The center also has an ongoing partnership with Vibez University in Belgium for an internship program.
