THE DAVAO Oriental State University broke ground for its new research center in Mati, Davao Oriental.

School officials held the ceremony on Friday at the Marfori Demo Farm in Don Enrique Lopez, Mati.

DorSU said the new center will house its biodiversity research team.

The two-story center will have a pond, flower beds with trails and water features, a nursery with a boardwalk, a bird observation post and a hanging bridge.

It will also have a sun-drying area, conference room, storage rooms and laboratories.

The university said that the project will be completed by March 2023.
