/ 22 July 2021

THE CENTRAL Luzon State University mourned the passing of Dr. Honorio M. Soriano, Jr., president of the Pampanga State Agricultural University.

In its Facebook page, PSAU confirmed that Soriano died on Monday after a month of being confined in a hospital due to Covid19 complications. He was 65.

Soriano headed PSAU for 14 years. He saw the transition of the then Pampanga Agricultural College into a state university.

CLSU aired its condolences to the family of Soriano and to the PSAU community, noting his legacy of being one of the best leaders of his generation.

“Dr. Soriano is one of the strongest allies of CLSU in implementing R&D activities in the region. He will be remembered as a staunch advocate of quality and excellence in education, research, and extension and one of the best leaders of his generation,” CLSU said on Facebook.

“So, while we grieve his physical loss, we are comforted by the fact that he is in a far better place now. There is no hurting, no suffering, and no pain in Heaven. Rest in Paradise, President Jun!” it added.
