CHED WELCOMES PAGDANGANAN AS MEMBER OF UP BOARD OF REGENTS
THE COMMISSION on Higher Education welcomed the appointment of Raul Pagdanganan to the University of the Philippines Board of Regents.
Pagdanganan, a Certified Public Accountant and Chief Executive Officer of the Cardinal Santos Medical Center, will serve for two years.
“Pagdanganan finished his Business Administration and Accountancy degree in UP and has been an active alumni supporter of UP sports for several years now,” CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera said.
“He brings his valuable managerial skills, experience in health management and private sector perspective in the governance of the various campuses and in the crafting of university policies in the Board of Regents,” he added.
De Vera received the appointment papers of Pagdanganan from Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea last July 13.
Pagdanganan said he considered it an honor to serve in UP. He pledged to help shape policies and programs to sustain UP’s leadership role in knowledge creation and public service.
The UP BOR is the highest governing body in the UP System. Its members are drawn from the university, private and public sectors.
