/ 9 August 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education approved the request of the Centro Escolar University-Malolos campus to hold limited face-to-face classes for select allied health programs.

CEU will conduct in-person classes for its Dental Medicine, Nursing and Medical Technology programs in the first semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.

“Our application for limited face-to-face classes for CEU Malolos has been approved by the Commission on Higher Education, effective until the 2nd semester of SY 2021-2022,” it said.

“The Certificates of Authority were signed by Dr. Maria Teresita Macanas Semana, CESO IV, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Director IV and other needed documents signed by the Honorable City Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian, and City Health Officer, Dr. Victor Batanes,” it added.

CHED officials along with representatives of the Department of Health and the local government of Malolos inspected the retrofitted classrooms in the university.

The commission earlier allowed face-to-face classes for health-related programs in CEU-Manila and CEU-Makati.

School officials said that limited physical classes are necessary because students need to conduct applied studies or practicum.
