CHED ALLOWS UNIVERISTY OF ST. LA SALLE TO HOLD LIMITED F2F CLASSES

/ 11 November 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has approved the request of the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod to hold limited face-to-face classes for select allied health programs.

USL will conduct in-person classes for its Doctor of Medicine and Nursing programs in the first semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.

The school said that it met the requirements set by the government for the holding of physical classes.

CHED officials and representatives of the Department of Health, local government unit and the Inter-Agency Task Force inspected the school’s facilities.

“CHED-Regional Office VI grants the certificate of authority to reopen campus for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Medicine programs of the University of St. La Salle after having complied with the requirements of the Commission on Higher Education and Department of Health, under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001, effective from November 5, 2021 to August 22, 2022,” the school said in a statement.

The permit to hold in-person classes, however, is subject to revocation if USL failed to comply with the rules and regulations set by the Health department and CHED.
