THE CENTRAL Luzon State University ranked 16th in the list of top universities in the Philippines released by Alper-Dodger Scientific Index.

CLSU also ranked eighth in the public universities in the Philippines category while 70 of its faculty and staff researchers made it to the 2023 AD Scientific index list of best scientists.

“Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Renato G. Reyes was hailed as the Best Scientist in the country for his studies on Mycology, followed by Dr. Hazel Monica M. Peralta for her contribution to the field of fisheries, and Dr. Elmer M. Villota for his bioenergy research,” CLSU said.

“Meanwhile, University President Edgar A. Orden was in the seventh spot for his contribution to the field of Animal Science,” it added.

AD Scientific index assessed 281 universities in the Philippines based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists.

It provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists.

It uses the first and only study that shows the total and the last five-year productivity coefficients of scientists based on the h-index and i10 index scores and citations in Google Scholar.
