CATANDUANES STATE U TO SHOULDER 50% PHILHEALTH PREMIUM OF STUDENTS

/ 24 July 2021

THE CATANDUANES State University will enroll its College of Health Sciences students with PhilHealth and it will shoulder half of their premiums through a Group Enrollment Program.

School executives recently met with officials of PhilHealth in Catanduanes to discuss the subsidy program.

The school said that premiums will be paid quarterly and will be remitted at the first month of every quarter. It will cost P900 per quarter.

It added that 198 students will be enrolled in the program, with the remaining 77 to be included in the master list once they turn 21.

CatSU said that students under 21 years old can avail themselves of Philhealth benefits as qualified dependents of their parents who are active members of the agency.

A master list of the qualified students will be verified and submitted to the agency, CatSU President Dr. Alain Patrick Azanza said.
