MEDICINE students of the Bicol University who reside in Camarines Sur will receive financial support from the provincial government to help them with their studies.

The university inked in December last year a Memorandum of Agreement with the provincial government of Camarines Norte to assist disadvantaged students to pursue a career in the medical field.

BU was represented by its president, Arnulfo M. Mascariñas, while the province was represented by Governor Ricarte R. Padilla.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved Ordinance No. 636, series of 2022 dubbed “An Ordinance Establishing Financial Assistance for Medical Students of Camarines Norte, Prescribing Guidelines for the Grant and Providing Funds Thereof.”

Under the agreement, scholars may receive up to P50,000 per semester.
