CALOOCAN STUDENTS GET E-NUTRIBUN
SOME 5,000 students of the Kalayaan Elementary School in Caloocan City received nutritious snacks prepared by the Department of Science and Technology.
Caloocan First District Representative Oca Malapitan attended the distribution of e-nutribun, rice mongo curls and kamo-tea to students.
Also present were Councilor Enteng Malapitan, Sancho Maborrang, DOST-National Capital Region Officer-in-Charge Engr. Romelen Tresvalles and other officials of the DOST, Department of Education and Food and Nutrition Research Institute.
Malapitan expressed his support to the program.
“Batid kong napakahalaga sa bawat bata ang magkaroon ng sapat na nutrisyon na kailangan ng kanilang katawan upang maging malusog at masigla lalo na sa kanilang pag-aaral,” he said.
As chairman of the Committee on Science and Technology of the Commission on Appointments, Malapitan recognized DOST and the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for bringing back nutribun.
“Kaya naman maraming salamat sa DOST sa kanilang pagpili sa Lungsod ng Caloocan para maging bahagi ng programang ito,” he said.
