THE BICOL University is set to manage an 18,820 square meters lot to help the school with its academic program.

Land owners Estela Fuentes and Romeo Bartolome inked a partnership with BU for the utilization of the lot, located in Barangay Carriedo, Gubat, Sorsogon.

“The land will be used for agricultural research, extension, and various undertaking through unified endeavors with farmers,” BU said.

The school will have a planting rice field, coconut production, training for farmers, and entrepreneurial activities.

“…students of (enrolled in agriculture programs) can have their practicum on the land,” it added.

Officials from BU and representative of the families, Cesar Bartolome attended for the signing of the memorandum of agreement.

The MoA is effective for two years with the possibility of a five-year extension, depending on the agreement of both parties.
