ATENEO SHS STUDENT 1ST RUNNER-UP IN 2021 ASEAN POSTER TILT
A SENIOR High School student from the Ateneo de Manila University bagged the 1st runner-up award in the Infographic Poster Competition of the 2021 ASEAN Energy Youth Awards.
Grade 12 student Nikki Mendoza was recognized for leading her group’s original study in the Practical Research course.
The study focused on the measurement of carbon footprint brought about by the current online learning setup.
AEYA 2021 was jointly organized by the ASEAN Centre for Energy, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and Korea Energy Agency.
The theme for this year is “Innovation and Creativity Towards Sustainable and Resilient Energy System in ASEAN.”
It aims to encourage the participation of youth expressing their perspectives and innovative ideas for enhancing energy access and affordability in a sustainable way.
It also seeks to engage the youth by using their creativity and innovation to enhance public awareness on clean energy and a sustainable environment.
