ATENEO: REVIEW CENTERS NOT AUTHORIZED TO CONDUCT TRAINING SESSIONS FOR ACET
THE ATENEO de Manila University on Tuesday said that it did not authorize any individual or entity to conduct review or training sessions for its college entrance test.
The university made the statement after it announced that the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) will be conducted once again this year as part of the application process for college admission for School Year 2023-2024.
“Ateneo de Manila has not authorized any individual or entity, including review centers, to conduct review or training sessions in preparation for the ACET,” it said.
“The University reserves its rights to address false claims of authorization to conduct such reviews and unauthorized use of ‘Ateneo’ and related terms,” it added.
In 2020 and 2021, the ACET was suspended because of the pandemic.
The ACET will be administered from October 29 to 30 for applicants in the National Capital Region, and from November 5 to 6 for applicants outside NCR.
Aside from their performance in the ACET, applicants will be assessed based on their academic and non-academic performance from Grades 9 to 11; batch ranking at the end of Grade 11; personal admission essays; recommendation letters; extracurriculars and disciplinary records.
