APPLICATIONS FOR ATENEO SCHOOL OF LAW NOW OPEN
ATENEO de Manila University’s School of Law began accepting for its Juris Doctor and Master of Laws programs.
The application period for the JD Program will be until February 29 next year.
To qualify for the program, an applicant must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Sciences, or a higher academic degree, from an authorized and recognized university or college.
He/she must also have completed at least twelve units of English and at least three units of a Rizal course at the tertiary level.
“Please note that pursuant to Ateneo School of Law policies, persons who have enrolled and have been graded in at least one semester in any Philippine law school are not eligible for admission to the J.D. Program,” the university said.
“Decisions regarding admissions are made by the Dean, upon the recommendation of the Admissions Committee, and taking into consideration the applicant’s scholastic records and abilities, entrance exam results, character references, and other relevant factors,” it added.
Meanwhile, the applications for the LLM Program will be until January 15 of next year.
To be eligible, an applicant must have completed a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a recognized law school and have successfully passed the Bar Examinations.
Applicants from foreign jurisdictions allowing law practice without completing a law degree and/or taking the Bar may apply.
