ANGELES UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION GETS CHED NOD AS DHEI

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education approved the Angeles University Foundation as a Delivering Higher Education Institution.

CHED Region 3 signed a Memorandum of Agreement making the university a DHEI for CHED’s “Scholarship for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program Grant.”

AUF is the first University in Region 3 to be approved as DHEI for the following degree programs: Doctor of Information Technology, Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction major in ELT, Master of Arts in Education major in Early Childhood Education, English, General Science, Special Needs and Inclusive Education and Educational Management, Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in Educational Management.

It also includes Master in Business Administration, Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, Master of Science in Public Health, Master in Information Technology, Doctor of Philosophy in Management, Master of Arts in Nursing major in Medical Surgical Nursing and Master of Arts in Psychology major in Clinical Psychology.

Present during the MoA signing were AUF Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Olga Angelinetta Tulabut, University Registrar Mellany P. Mejia, and AUF Graduate School Dean Dr. Elvira S. Balinas.

Also present were CHED RO 3 officials Dr. Maria Teresa M. Semana, OIC, Office of the Director IV, CHEDRO3; Ms. Lora L. Yusi, Chief Education Program Specialist; Ms. Eden D.L. Capati, Chief Administrative Officer; and  Dr. Efren F. Abulencia, Education Supervisor II.

CHED’s SIKAP Grant provides opportunities for Higher Education Institution teaching personnel, or former HEI teaching personnel seeking advanced studies in identified universities and colleges in the Philippines.
