THE SIARGAO Island Institute of Technology distributed scholarship grants from the Commission on Higher Education to help students with their education.

Dubbed ‘Tertiary Education Subsidy’, a total of 550 students were provided the grant for the second semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.

The first batch of the distribution was facilitated by SIIT President Atty. Lalo Matuga who handed the grant to the students and guardians.

Matuga also thanked the lawmakers and people behind the materialization of the government grant-aid program.

Another set of students is set to receive the grant next week, according to SIIT.

A total of 1,079 students are set to receive their grant, bringing the total to 1,629 students from SIIT who received and will receive the grant.
