5 TARLAC STATE U STUDENTS WIN IN INT’L PAINTING COMPETITION
FIVE architecture and fine arts students from the Tarlac State University received awards in the 2022 India “Sanskriti Ke Rang” International Painting Competition held last month.
Alvin Latoga and Lauren Jascha Tolentino won the big medal plus merit for their artworks titled “The Holi Festival” and “Life in Colors,” respectively.
Mica Ann Morte also bagged the same award for her watercolor “Beauty of India” while John Kennedy Manio was recognized for his mixed medium “Treasure of Indian Land.”
Alvin Tacliad also won the big medal for his artwork “Sanchi Stupa.”
The competition aims to promote India’s rich culture, heritage, art, and religion. It was organized by the Charu Castle Foundation together with Uttar Pradesh Tourism.
The participants are from India, Philippines, Latvia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Dubai, Malaysia, Romania, Korea, Taiwan and Poland.
