/ 8 July 2026

SILLIMAN University announced that in-person classes at all levels and regular office operations will resume on Wednesday, July 8, after authorities declared the campus safe following a comprehensive security assessment.

In an advisory, the university said normal operations may proceed after security personnel completed inspections of the campus.

As an added precaution, heightened security measures will remain in place, including mandatory bag inspections at all campus entry points.

University officials urged students, faculty members, staff, and visitors to cooperate with security personnel and allow extra time when entering the campus.

Silliman University said it continues to coordinate with the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group in the ongoing investigation into the bomb threat that prompted the temporary suspension of classes and work.

The university also encouraged anyone with information that could help investigators to report it through the designated university reporting channels.

Silliman University emphasized that the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, staff, and visitors remain its highest priority.

The university earlier suspended classes and office operations after receiving a reported bomb threat involving the campus.
